NONPROFIT

Every nonprofit has a mission. But it’s the people behind the mission who move hearts — and move action. We specialize in telling authentic, human-centered stories that inspire, educate, and rally communities around a cause. Whether it’s a sweeping campaign or an intimate portrait of change, we help organizations share their impact in ways that resonate and endure.

NONPROFIT SPOTLIGHT: WASHINGTON STEM

Organizational Storytelling, Advocacy Video
Real change starts with opportunity. We partnered with Washington STEM to tell the story of Maria Cisneros — a young student whose journey, shaped by early access and support, shows how education can change lives and communities. Through Maria’s story, we also wove in the broader impact of Washington STEM’s work, connecting personal experience to statewide change.

Your work changes lives. Your story can, too.

WHAT OUR PARTNERS SAY

“Storytelling can be a vulnerable process, and I don’t usually feel at ease on camera – but with Waka I do. They create a space where I can relax, trust the process, and feel confident in the story we’re telling together.”

Tana Peterman | Senior Program Officer, Washington STEM

BLOODWORKS NORTHWEST

Organizational Storytelling, Event Recap Video
We love working with Bloodworks Northwest and supporting their mission to ensure a safe and reliable blood supply for our region. We’ve produced videos across several of their campaigns – including Music’s In Our Blood, which brings together music, community, and donation drives. This Sofi Tukker concert video is one of our favorites from the series.

DELTA DENTAL OF WASHINGTON

Educational Engagement, Event Recap
We’ve partnered with Delta Dental on a wide range of video content — from sales tools and event recaps to fun, educational videos encouraging healthy habits for kids. This event recap — featuring Tooth Fairy Arika at a Free Skate Day with the Seattle Kraken’s mascot, Buoy — is part of their broader mission to promote healthy smiles through community engagement, creativity, and fun.

WAESN

BAM SEATTLE

Equity-Focused Organizational Stories
At Waka Seattle, we believe storytelling is a powerful tool for advancing equity and justice. We’ve partnered with organizations like Washington Ethnic Studies Now and Becoming A Man (BAM) – Seattle chapter to help share their vision, values, and community impact.

With WAESN, we created a portrait of the students, educators, and community leaders advocating for inclusive, culturally responsive education across Washington state. For BAM, we captured how mentorship, healing, and brotherhood are transforming outcomes for young men of color in Seattle Public Schools.
